I have a set of Rath Racing Competition Propegs that are specific for the 2006. These are top notch. They have nets in place of aluminum heel guards and they replace the stock rear fender brackets. Very nice with sharp stainless pegs that are replaceable. You can get them new from:

Rath Racing (http://www.rathracing.com)

Direct link to page (http://www.rathracing.com/store/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=12&CFID=1407328&CFTOKEN=13222057)

I've only ridden on a mine twice (about 6 hours total on an mx track). Although they are exceptionally well made and look great, I plan to sell for one reason only. They are at the same height as the stock pegs where I am now installing a set made for a 400ex that I adapted to fit that lower the pegs 1" below stock height and about 3/4" back. It wouldn't matter to most riders but I am 6'6" tall. The only problem with my new setup is it is heavier than the Rath Racing setup.

I tried that route to solve my issue of needing something lower than stock height. IMS pegs are only lower and further back compared to 2004 and 2005 stock pegs. You gain nothing for 2006.

Didnt Honda lower the pegs for the '06? Instead of lowering the pegs , maybe consider raising the bars? I dont know what that feels like I am only 5'7...lol!!:D Love my Roll pegs though..

I raised it 1" with a Rath Stem and moved the bars forward about 3/8". I am guessing the ATV bend Flexxbars are about the same height as stock but differently better positioning with only a 12 degree sweep.

I've attached a picture of the new nerf I mounted. As you can see, the top of the footpeg is about level with the bolt and nothing sits below the frame. These are heavy steel pegs is the only draw back. They are also positioned about 3/4" back.

Meaning??? I can guarantee that the tops of your pegs aren't even close to being level with the bolts that go into the frame.

quad2xtreme, I see what you are saying about peg location compared to frame and your setup lowers the peg for sure. back to the original question , yes we do have nerfs from '05's on our '06's.I believe there is nothing different about them, They fit very well. Now all you have to do is choose your brand and ROLL with it!!!:D

he didnt ask about 400ex nerfs on 450r. He asked if 05 nerfs fit on 06 correct me if im wrong. I never said i had 400ex magnum nerfs on my 450r, although i did have them on my 400ex and they were the Worst nerf bars i have ever put on a quad. They were re-welded, re-netted, mounted with goofy u-bolts that ruined your frame, and gave you no traction.

Depending on how the front bracket mounts dictates whether you can swap between the 2005 and the 2006. I'll attach a picture of how the Rath front mount goes. Rath has a different front mount for the 2005 versus the 2006 since the engine mount width is different.

I am by no means arguing that the Magnums are the best quality nerfs. In fact, the Rath Competition Propegs are light years better. However, the Magnums are the only ones I've found that sit really low. I too have rewelded a portion of the peg as well as reattaching the netting tabs. I cheated when mounting these on my 450r by using the front mount that came with the Rath set. I don't have any trouble with traction since my AlpineStars have and ATV tread sole. I can imagine that typical mx boots would be really slippery on the Magnum nerfs.

I am saying that the Rath Competition Propegs are one of the most well made nerfs I have seen plus you get the benefit of heel guards without all the mud collecting, the heel guard mounting brackets replace the factory fender mounts, and you will see from the picture that the front mount is an awesome design. Plus, they are kind of unique in that they aren't mainstream.

Here is the best picture I have of the Rath nets installed. I didn't trim the nets and re-melt the ends so there is excess webbing material.

The pegs are fat and are razor sharp. See previous picture for front mount. Notice how the frame work for the heel guards replaces the factory fender mounts. For trick design.

Better picture...again the netting definitely needs trimmed.

Those Rath nerfs look like they are very similar to the AC/ROLL nerfs. The pegs are a little different though. Both seem to be a good choice. The AC/ ROLL nerfs are interchangable from '05 to '06. just a little FYI. :D

too bad I had to give them up for this!!!
