What should i do to uncork my new 06 yfz 450?

Is doing the cam mod (retarding one tooth) the same or as effective as dropping in better cam?

When i take off the air box.. shoudl i get a UNI or something else.

Can i remove the spark arrestor and re jet to match the open airbox?

Is that how you open this thing up?

I've heard of someone dropping in a "chip" for better performance... does that mean.. to reporgram a ECU or something.

help me maxamize my potential.

Removing the airbox lid, and spark arrestor along with the cam mod and rejetting is a huge gain.

If your gonna get a filter look into the billet rings with a filter. I got the Gibson ring with a uni filter for 80 bucks. The new fuel customs intakes are supposed to help a lot more power wise but they sell for a little over $200.

From asking around most people have said not to bother getting a new cdi box, beacsue they will be harder to start, like they were in the 400ex's. If you want to upgrade your ignition look into a Dyna ignition.

then what? if i do the cam mod... open the air box, put a uni in there and remove the baffel and then rejet... what's the next step?

Anyone know what the correct jetting for this is? I live an ride in Socal at normal elevations...
