A 10 paddle will be too much for your 400ex. Like stated above you will bog down. I would definately recommend 8 paddles for your set up.

10 paddle is too much for a 450R, let alone a 400EX. Maybe an 8 paddle glider, or a 6-7 paddle hauler.

I ran 20x10x8 10 paddle haulers on my wife's 400ex. I never had a problem. I went up Comp Hill dozens of time and never bogged the motor but I also went to a 13t front sprocket and had full fmf exhaust, advanced timing key and open air box. I now run those 10 paddle haulers on my big bore 250r.

i agree 10 paddle is WAY too much! 8 paddles are even too much! Look at most 4 stroke drag bikes set up for hills they are either 6 or 7 paddle haulers. So i would suggest you to buy a set of 6-7 paddle haulers. The reason why 10 paddles is too much, your bike does not have enough power for them. 10 paddles "DIG" into the sand, without the horse power. with 6-7 paddles you "PICK UP" "THROW" the sand. So, with that said. I have a set of Skat Trak Haulers 20x10x10 7 paddle, on Douglas.160 rims.used 3 times.. I'll sell them for you 165+ shipping. I live in CA...
