i just got a gibson front end and i cant get my stock a arm ball joints out of the spindle. how did you guys do it?

I was going to see how much a cheap balljoint remover costed, but the one listed in the manual was $200!!!!!!!!!! Hell no! So, I just wacked them softly with a rubber hammer. Came out nice and quick with no problem. Hope this helps.

i bought a ball joint separator on ebay for about $25 and it worked great.

That way works fine i have the honda tool myself otherwise go to a auto store and they sell a 2 finger fork real cheap that works well also you can smack the spindles pretty good with no worries good lick hope you like your new gibsons.Chris

those are just the right height to hit the ball joint's stud, then i just unscrew the nut and it'll push itself out. Then flip the socket and spacer to do the lower.

Using a balljoint fork will most likely rip the boot, making the balljoint no good.

I seen a freind fight with his for hours then I show'd him how easy it is the do that way with a few things you probly already have in your tool box or garage.

I use a BIG punch and a heavy hammer and they come out no problem

have a friend wiggle the tire while you lightly tap on it with arubber mallet
