The hood has 4 bolt holes, one in each corner. You just cut out your headlight plastic, and drill some holes. You could probably use some of those nifty black fasteners that hold on the gas tank cover and side-panels (I love those, leave it to the japanese to come up with something like that).

Thanks, I used all the hardware that came with it. I got 4 bolts and 4 black clips that act as nuts for the bolts. You have to drill 4 holes in your hood, i hope you can figure out where cause its got 4 flat spots. After you have you holes drilled and you have cut front fender to fit hood, you line up hood where you want it. Take a marker and mark the center of the holes onto the fender from the hood. After you drilled the top 2 you should be able to slide the 2 clips on the top, depending upon how you cut the fender. You must be wondering how i slide the 2 clips on the fender for the bottom of the hood. I drilled bigger holes near the ones for the bolts, so i can slide the clips in. Its kind if a trail and error thing for the clips until they line up right. I took them on and off a few times. Oh yeah i used the 4 black plastic spacers too. I also painted the heads of the bolts black.

Thanks man, it took me almost 2 years to get all the mods i have on it. I am thinking about getting Axis or Elka shocks over winter but i do't know if i want to spend that much when i do fine with shocks i got.

I mounted the key on the right side, like on a warrior. What would you get off of a dirt bike?

On the dr 250 electric start they have a little starter instead of a big balky ignition button on the 400. Do you have a closer pic you could post if so that would be great.
