Can you put 450r shocks on a 400ex? If so how hard is it to do. Do you have to do any mods to your shock mounts or no?

you can, but you have to do a lil fabing to the shock mounts on the quad...but if yourgonna spend 250$ on stock450r shocks why not just buy some Works ir something...JMO:ermm:

because you cant find an "aftermarket" shock thats fully adjustable for $250.. (if you could.. theyd need reworked or theyre stolen)

and regardless.. it is a step up from the stock suspension..

I used to have 450r shocks they are a huge improvement over stock and mine werent even valved. I would rather have the 450r shocks valved for a 400ex than works steelers with remote rezzies. Another plus to the 450r shocks is you can usually find them for $200 on ebay.

I agree with the other guys too though after market shocks a definitely the way to go.

the yfz shocks take quite a bit of fabbing idk about the z400 shocks but i don't think they would be much of an improvement unless you get the ones with rezzies

id have to agree that a aftermarket triple rate shock would be better yet..
