he said it was for gym class, everyone is sick so they just kind of hung out during gym but had to write a short deal on a favorite athlete. and yes, everyone asked wth is jon..lol

he actually got some cool news today, an essay he wrote on Benjamin Franklin won his school district competition and is now off to state competition. Even if he finishes dead last he gets a $100 savings bond, 1st place is a $10,000 scholarship!

Its NEVER too young to learn and understand the importance of an education. I'm sure most of the 12 year olds that are going for this scholarship can type better than the "highschool" seniors on this board.

I think its great to offer scholarships to kids that are raised properly and can compete for stuff like this.

The honors program has alot of things that help those who show initative (sp?) and work for the extra's they offer. cody had wanted to win but hadnt the last 2 years, this time he did:p

Keep him strong at writing man. You'd be blown away at the amount of money that can be won in those "stupid" writing contests. :eek:

There's big money in the poetry contests at schools too.

I used to be really good at writing storys from 3rd-7th grade. Im in 10th now and cant write worth a damn. Every once in awhile i find an old story on my computer that amazes me. I wish i could still write like that.

man i wish i could be like cody.... and jon. But hey i hope codyis the overall winner at that contest thing. Ive done some contests, but never won them. I guess im not that good lol. But yea jon has gotta be one of my fav. riders as well
