rear axle removal

Help! how do you get the axle out. i have taken locknuts off..04 raptor by the way..i just cant pull it out..or i have hammered also...i didtn mess up the splines either.i just cant get removed...any ideas.thanks

Hey there!
I don't know if you got the axal out yet but i just did my 02 for the first time. I take it you got everything out of the way. All i can tell you is that if it was like mine you'll have to get a 4x4 and a (bfh) on the right side of the axal. Make sure the hub is off and just start to smack the 4x4 against the axal. Don't worry it won't hurt the threads just make sure you are square on the axal. I know it may seem like alot of work but if it was anything like mine the bearings were so rusted from all the water ,grime,mud and you name it then you'll have to work on it awhile. Once you get it out you'll see why it was a pain. Going back in will be a treat. Let me know how you do. Later yamiraptor
