it is very hard to change colors on something that is white. especialy if you want it black. i tried to do it and i got the same results as keith.

keith keep up the good work that looks awsome

It looks that way because you're doing it wrong. Use the polygonal lasso tool and the paint brush. Select the truck with the lasso and fill it with black on overlay and about 73% opacity. It looks liek you're using the magic wand.

And you really need to learn to use Layer Styles and the blending options. You can change Opacity from there too.

I used the polygonal lasso tool, and I selected all the ground below the truck, and the wheels, and moved the ground and the wheels up..Then I just had to do some touch up, or you can lower the whole body, but I found my way easier.

MXfourtwoeight, you said something about using overlay or something like that?? well everytime I do that, it makes blue, what am I doing wrong?? I want to make my stuff more realistic looking.

02-24-2006, 10:01 PM
What kind of truck is that? I'll just put the rims on a black one for you.

Go over it a few times with the regular paintbrush on darken, then set the brush to overlay and lower the opacity to about 25% and go over it a few times to get the realistic shine. You could also do this with the airbrush. I would do it right now but I don't have acess to a computer with photoshop on it right now because my PC in being gay and my work mac died for some reason. I should be able to get it back before the weekends over, though.
