I am doing some work for a friend that recently picked up a 95' blaster, non-running, for pretty cheap. The motor was locked up when he got it, come to find out, the piston had seized and broke a few peices off. Anyway, we got that all taken care of, but when I started assembling the motor, it seems that the balancer is rubbing against the case..? The first time I re-split the cases to check to see if something was caught between the balancer and the case wall, but there was nothing. I put it back together, and the same thing is present. You can turn the balancer right until it come in contact with the case, then you can force it to turn around more, until it clears the case area....Any ideas on what the hell is going on here? I dont see/understand how it could be rubbing???
