Worst choice you could make.

I have no experience with them.

A budy of mine says they are 10 times better then his sand stars. If your wanting a cheap paddle go for it, plus they make a 10 paddle gecko now.

Geckos are not horrible or the worst but it depends on which ones your buying and what type of riding you do in the dunes.

why don't you just put the sandstars and buy a yamaha rim and mount them on there

but i probably wouldn't go with geckos[dorkos]

IMO the sand sharks are a pretty good economical tire... if i was going to get a molded other than sandstars, i probably would just go with them

The only thing the geckos are good for is going in a straight line or up a hill. Go with the Sand Stars, you wont be dissappointed.

actually you have it wrong... gecko's are only a play tire and suck on hills. bad hook-up.

thats why geckos suck so bad- they arent light weight and dont hook up like a straight hauler, and they dont turn well like a normal v paddle... they have the worst of both worlds...

sand stars are definately the best, but sand skate II's arent bad tires

no, sand skate IIs definately arent bad at all- thats what everybody in my group used to run before the sand stars came out... then i got them back in sept 04, and now most of my group has sand stars as well... everybody that i know that has them loves them, and like ive said before, having all 4 tires is awesome!!!

I really don't get why people like sandstars, We ride glamis every weekend and the two of my buddies that bought sandstars hate them. One sold his, the other cut off the little scoops to try and get some slide. I rode them on a YZF and a raptor and thouht they were the worst tire I have tried besides the Gecko.
If you want a tire that only goes straight get the sandstars. If you want a great duneing tire get the sand skate 2's or for a lower priced option go with sand sharks.
Know this, you will never be able to power slide a turn with sandstars, and thats a big part of riding the dunes fast.

i couldnt disagree more... well, i completely agree about the sand sharks, but not about the sand stars... i have no problem powersliding with my 250r, but i do have that 2 stroke powerband to do them with. i did notice it was a pain to do that on my buddies raptor with sand stars, but i dont know if that was the tires, or the bike, just because it was different and rides a lot higher and i wasnt completely comortable with it yet...? but for my 250r i absolutely love the sand stars, and have no complaint whatsoever...

NOPE....The only way to go..Skat Trak Haulers!.http://www.atvnews.com/images/elements/34183_haulers.jpg

Same say these aren't the best for turning etc...But if you can't use the power of the engine and some body english, then that's your own problem.
