I bought an alba maxflow adapter so I can use a clamp-on filter instead of the cheesy stock one. Alba only carries that K&N that fits this adapter, but i really dont like K&N. I want to use a UNI. Does anyone know the part# that will fit this adapter? Has anyone done it? The girl at the parts counter thought I was crazy because I didn't want their K&N.

If you knew the K&N part # it would be easy to figure out which Uni you would need, I love my UNI filters too, If you find out what the part # is i can find out what uni filter you would need.

Isnt that the number for the stock filter size, the number you need is from the k&n filter that goes on the alba adapter kit.

The filter needs to be 3" inside diameter and about 4" long. The shop had one that was 6" long, and it would hit the back where there's the mounting screw.

Just wanted to update this post. The 300ex unifilter fits. It's about 1/8" too small, but with some coaxing i got it in. It'll learn the new shape in a while.
