'07 YFZ's

on the 2007 yfz's are they gonna have fuel injection? i am wondering because i have a banshee and i love the power of the 450's except im not sure if i should wait for the '07 to come out with fuel injection.

i doubt it. the new raptor has it, so i doubt yamaha has been investing any time or thought for it in the yfz... the yfz has been working the way it is, no reason for change. it gives people who want fuel inj to go out and buy a raptor

I hope so. I'd probably buy one if it did. You probably won't know anything until July or so.

All of the bigger quads will probably be FI sooner or later, mainly due to emissions. I personally would rather have a injected quad, it's nice being able to fire it up on a cold day and going without all of the spitting and sputter until it warms up.

im guessing it will have FI, just like the ltr. it will probably have different suspension on it too, just like the ltr.

I think Yamaha used the raptor as their test dummy for the EFI. They put it on there to see what the reaction would be and see if it worked well. Now that people are starting to embrace EFI on atvs i would not be shocked at all if Yamaha had it on the 07 YFZ. If its not on the 07 then i bet it will be on the 08 for sure.

The 700 King Quad was out with EFI before the raptor was.

the king quad isnt a sportquad, and isnt a yamaha... i would be real surprised if the yfzs has it in 07... if it ends up being a success (its too early to tell IMO) it'll probably have it in 08... i'm still a skeptic

In, a magazine article i read awhile ago, they said that they were putting the EFI on the Raptor to test it for the YFZ in 07. That was last fall though and things change.

i hope they switch to EFI so everyone will want the EFI yfz and they'll do anything to get rid of their carburated yfz and I can afford one:D
