i think its looks very good... i would just cut the bottom of the fender like nuasty did and i would leave the nipples...

what do you guys use to cut your fenders?? i was going to use a rotozip or a dremel tool..good/bad??? help me out guys

07-17-2002, 09:04 PM

man my 440 is almost identical to your quad, i've got ac nerfs, holeshot rears and i'm going to order holeshot fronts, and i'm also going to buy a yoshi complete system, and i've got the same bumper and my plastics are cut and have the little nips left, only my plastics yellow

What size holeshots did you get and what ply?? I am asking because I was interested in getting the xct 23 in front and xct 22 in rear. I was wondering how much power the heavier bigger tires take from the bike???

Thanks

07-18-2002, 08:28 AM
Zingnut I put 23 and 22 razr's on mine and didn't feel like I lost much power at all,,but I did have to change my gearing around,,14/38,,,,the stock gearing with them big tires do not work out to good..:( and I also love the handling of these tires compared to stock,,,the extra ground clearance is saweeeet..:D

damn for a 99 that plastic is mint howd you keep it so shiny and not get the back all scratched up from swinging your feet over and having your boots rub the back?? nice job with the plastic cutting, hope mine looks as good.

did you trim the bottom of your rear fenders to keep them from hitting the propegs? cause mine hit only on the right side, the left side is held up by the battery

Cool no nips.

If all the brackets are in place take off your seat and put it on the ground right side up and let someone heavy sit on it for a couple minutes. It will let the bracket that holds up the fender bend back to the right position or at least closer to it.

it looks awesume but what's the point of cuting your fenders? cause the track i go to is really dry so they water it and it gets really really muddy without them cut.

some people like the look of cut fenders but i think it also cuts down on wind resistence
