Step ups are great, usually as long as your pinned everything goes fine.

Heres one from a local track.

Step downs are definitely cool. This track I ride at has a step down/step up when the track is running in forward or reverse.

There's a pretty long hill on the way down. You can either step down and double it (about 40 ft) or you can step down and tripple it (about 60-70 ft). Trippling that thing was mad fun, you get about 15 ft off the ground and are in the air for a good 2.5 seconds, pretty sick. The same jump, only in reverse as a step-up is the narliest thing I have ever hit. 5th gear absolutely pinned up a steep hill, rear end bouncing all over the place and you just barely clear it lol
