I don't think you should buy a G-force axle from RM ATV

I bought one a month ago for my 450R, nothing but problems.

I raced it twice, the chrome is peeling off.
The stock axle nut comes loose on rough tracks, no matter how tight you get it, locktite and tape will not hold it.
The sprocket flange is loose on the splines.
Now the wheel hubs are loose because the hub spacers are so soft, they are getting smashed by the hub. I tighten them, and 10 minutes later they are loose.

Just buying a locknut is not going to slove all these problems. I guess I will buy a LSR.

My hub's stay tight fine, but yes the axle does keep coming loose. I had planned on picking up a RAD locknut to solve my problem

I did put my hubs on extremely tight this time and it hasn't crushed the spacer as the original poster says it did to his. :(

I hope the rad nut fixes mine cause its held up great to all my abuse too.

I have been jumping it as much as I jump my 416 with lonestar and its never chipped or bent so far.

What axles options are there for 4 or 5 inches wider that hold up good. LSR only goes +3 on the 450r.

my friend has a x33 and the splines on the axle wore out.

The x33 is also only +3 for the R. Any axle wider than 3 inches will put you over 50inches wide.
That is why lonestar/rpm/gforce and Durabreak all use +3 for the R and +4 for all other models

Your stock lock nut is probably going to come loose no matter what axle you have. The stock lock nuts are junk. I have an LSR Axle and my lock nut constantly came loose. You should by an anti-fade. The stock hubs coming loose is also a common problem with any axle you'll buy. I had the problem on my stock and lonestar axles until I got an impact gun and tightened the crap out of them and make sure the cotter key has a tight fit on each side. I haven't had a problem yet. As for the spacers crushing, that you can blaim on the axle company. Just go to a machine shop and have them make you some new ones out of better stuff. Dont know what to tell you about the chrome chipping.

Well, I had an x-33 on my 400ex and the wheel and hub came off and my tire rolled right by me as I was riding (not a real great feeling). This happened twice. I bought the axle back in '02 and the design of the hub that they had on it was not thought out very well. I was very difficult to get to the nut to tighten it the the bolts they gave me with it would rust and one just snapped off. I wasn't jumping on a mx track either just dirt and dune trail riding and an occasional 20 ft jump. This axle caused me more problems than I can count. I finally went to the hardware store and bought some stronger bolts with the nuts that pinched down on the threads of the bolt and didn't have to deal with it much after that. I would be hard for me to believe that they had even tested their design before they sold it. I probably will stay away from durablue in the future;)

I got to thinking that after I posted :p

Is the front stock wheels a 3/2 offset on the R?

the chrome is coming off of my lonestar axle too so i dont think that will change from axle to axle. i defiently think its stronger then the g force axle. never bent of broke mine.

i race mx on my durablue axle and i love it. i have the one with the pin drive hubs. the only issues that i have had is the bolts that hold on the hub to the axle r crap and the sprocket hub isnt exactly strong enough for me. i have never broken it or bent it and i have never seen a broken one in my life. 500 smackers is alot of money but i think its worth it.

Sounds like alot of people have problems with the Durablue pin drive hubs.

A couple of racers at the track use the LSR axle with stock locknut, it does not come loose with locktite and tape.

i have a durablue on my raptor. The hub fell off and striped half of my splines on the one side. My Neighbor also had the X-33 or wat ever the pin drive and his broke and tire fell of as well..
AS for the G-force $200 and the only time mine bent bad was from a tree. And the first time in bent with the tire on there was only an inch of run out at the center of the tire. And they gave me a new one. I bought 2 of them so if i do have a problem i can take one out put the other in. send it back use the new straight axle as a backup rather than wasing $400 on just one. Dont really see the point until they start bendin more often on the track.

Been runnin mine for a year now and no problems, same with my hubbys. We had a really hard time gettin the locknut off of mine when we took it off.
I polished it up and only have a few small rust spots from rock chips. I would deff buy another, and yes they replace the axle, not just straighten it.

I just received my G-Force axle last night..

Is it supposed to come with a new lock nut for the 450R? I know my brother got one for his KFX and it included a new lock nut.

I have an RPM that's at least 5 years old. Never bent or broke it, and I'm 250 lb, and do 80'+ jumps.
