jetting questions again

yea i have a 05 400ex it has sparks x6 full ex, rev box,k&n,choke delete,timing advance, i have a 175 main and a 42 pilot and the needle on the 3rd clip bike runs great but i havent saw anyone using over a 165 with this setup but the bike runs fine so can anyone give me some advice on this. i do have a stage 2 hotcam and 11.1 piston but isnt installed yet so can someone give me some advice on the old setup and the new........ thanks

It may appear to run good but I would bet that you are loosing at least 3 hp with the 175K. I used to run a 162K with my full HMF and it sounded good then I went to a 160K and now a 155K. It has soooo much more power now. Just make sure that its not poping.

I would say with the new piston and cam it should be around a 162K or 165K.

PS: how do you like the timing advance?

i like the timing advance alot more throttle response, but thanks for the info but what about the needle and pilot

i think the timing advance is def worth the money to give it a horsepower or two but the throttle response was the best
