Can anyone tell me if this kit really does help the motor? I have one and stock it is not exactly what i am looking for. I know that most engine upgrades require a FCR carb. The HRC kit doesn't. What am I really going to gain with this?

With the hrc kit it will make power right up to the limiter. It will loose some bottom end without a pipe. Once you add a pipe with the kit it'll probly be right what you looking for.

Like mad said, the HRC will make loads more power than stock. And when you get a pipe to go with that you have a hard running bike. But if you want a cheaper route, just but a HotCams Stg. II and a full system along with a K&N filter. you can take the lid off instead of the HRC lid. The only thing you wont have is the HRC needle. I Think you can get the HRC needle seperate??? Someone will have an answer for that.

the hardest thing to figure out is the shims. once you get that covered, everything else is pretty easy. make sure you have an service manual so you know all the torque specs.

also, follow this link!!!

twiles, get the hrc kit and a good full pipe and the difference will be substantial!!

if you do not want to spend the money on the whole kit you can always get the stage 2 hotcam. it is a great cam!
