400ex carb on a 300ex

Would my bike run better with a 400 ex carb verse a 300 ex carb, if so is it just as easy as putting a 400 ex carb on or would I have to do somethig else?

They say it bolts right up, but i've heard that if you use a 350x air boot it is supposed to be betther.

Ive read that using a 400 ex carb makes it respond better idk, thats why im asking, if it will enhance the performance ill buy a 400 ex carb, cuz the stock 300 I have on now something seems wrong, when I crack the throttle it will hold the high rpms for awhile before it will idle down. any idea what would cause this?

Have you checked to make sure your cable is not in a bind or needs replacing?:huh

the 400ex carb on a 300ex is a fairly decent upgrade considering how cheap you can get a 400ex carb for on ebay or around the forums.. you ahve to shave off a little of the intake boot from the airbox but besides that you just have to rejet... it made it revs a lot quicker and added more pull the whole powerband
