They call them accidents because you don't expect them to happen..... Burnouts are used in asphault dragging to do what? Make the tires hot and STICKY....(Read TRACTION) Now picture unexpected traction suddenly cause you to hook up and launch straight or to one side. Hmmmmmm........

Sorry, I feel a helmet has saved my life more than once. I highly suggest you wear one when you are on a running quad. I've seen guys slide off of ramps going up into the back of pick ups, and flip quads doing that. That is all it takes.;)

Burn outs are so useless. If u wanna waste ur tires, i really dont care. But it killlls the clutch plates!

All to make some smoke

Ah its all good fun. my last sport bike was worth $40k . I would lay slabs down everywhere I went. 4th gear nitrous burnouts. I would be lucky to get 400 miles out of a tire. Oh ya I did have a helmet evert time. Its fun as long as you can afford tires.

I dont roast my tires on my 450r , I would rather know I have good rubber on it. But when Its time to change them they will be bald very bald!

I agree that the burnouts are fun, and why not do them if you want to. As for them not being good for the machine......Well there alot of things sport quads do that are not good for them, but we own them mostly for fun, as most of us don't get paid more that we spend to ride them. I'd say it's better to put wear on your 450r doing burnouts than your daily driver vehicle that takes you to work everyday, huh? LOL!:p
