250ex or z250 QuadSport

I just got a used 250ex and love it was thinking about getting another quad same size. I looked at the Suzuki and it feels good when I sit on it and also noticed it had a little bigger engine than the ex. Anybody rode both to compare?

if i were you i would concider the 300ex they have a bigger motor more power ant will out handle and out power the z250 imo

I would skip the 300 and get a 400. The 300 wont be much of a gain. Why would you get the z250 when you have a 250ex?:huh They are basically the same thing.

believe it or not the 300 has huge gains after riding a 250ex for a couple years:rolleyes: trust me i jsut got mien and love it compaired to the 250...

the 250ex is better then the z250.. 250ex has better suspension and is torqier.. the z250 takes to long to get up to speed...

but id go for the 300

I was using the z250 for comparison because I have two kids that both ride the ex. Am going to get another quad so they wont fight all the time. If it was for me I would def go for a 300 or 400ex. When I ride the ex it is fun but the throttle is pegged too much!

I have both - same situation as you. Started them out on the Phoenix 200, but they quickly outgrew the full auto and required more versatility... Bought the Honda second hand and traded the Phoenix in on the zook... I like the ride/looks of the zook better, but the honda has more torque down low... Both are excellent for your kids...it'll be interesting to see how they respond to a jet kit/pipe/air filter combo... We ride the dunes @ Pismo and I must say, I like to take both out and about... In stock form, I think the Honda's power output/gearing is better matched, after a day of riding, the zook has a better ride that doesn't fatigue you as much as the Honda...with extracting a little more power, the zook may fill in the gaps on the gear spacing - e.g.; say you are taking a hill in 2nd , the Honda will continue to pull up & over whereas the same hill will feel like the zook is running out of steam and just gonna make it (too tall gearing, not breathing enough)...

I've got a 300 and my sister has the 250ex and it's a pretty different when you feel the suspension and motor displacement

Speaking as a parent i would say get another 250ex. If you get a 300ex then they will still both be fighting over who gets to ride the faster one lol

Why not pick you up a good used Mojave. They respond VERY well to engine mods and are just plain fun the woods. You can even fix then into super MX machines! Here's my Mojave....

If you rele arent looking to move up which i think is the best idea then go with the suzuki i just got rid of mine to move up but there a lot more comfortable then the 250ex both bout the same motor but i alwayz seemed to wipe a 250 ex when it came down to a race :)

i beg to differ it seems that i have never lost to a z250 with my 250ex on a track woods or drag race on the street

im all down for testing out your machine but why drag race on the streat??thats just asking for trouble:rolleyes: if your not name preajudice why not get a good yamaha warrior.its got good power,nice handaling and you can hit it with a sledge hammer and its still good.plus u can still make it bad *****.

did u just say the warrior handles good ,the thing is a tank its the worst handling four weeler ever

the warrior is not a bad handling quad.when i had mine it didn't handle bad.u just got to know what your doing.i could throw it around.
