i am gettin close to needing some new brake pads on my 400ex are there any brake pads that will fit my stock brakes that are better than stock?????

it is according to what your definition of better is. I like DP pads. Thei mx pads work really good but don't last too long. Their regular metalic pads last pretty good though.

On Brakes for the quad it is hard to get the best of both worlds. The pads that will stop the best, will wear out the fastest. The ones that last the longest stop good, but not as good as the soft pads. If you look at any of the brake company specs you will see that they make 2 or 3 for the 400EX. If someone says that DP, EBC, or ? is good make sure that you ask them which one from that company. I have use the heavy duty gold from EBC for the past 14 years and they seem to work and last just as long and don't cost very much or about the same asthe other ones.
