I've always had that problem. Seems to not do it on mine as the temp gets cooler. But when it's high 85 and over it's common on my bike. The way the weather is as of now (70's) here in Florida it's not doing it. Really doesn't bother me thought b/c normally I'm up in the revs when I take off. If there is a solution I'd try it though.

What year quad do you have? If you have a 04 or 05 then the #35 or #40 leak Jet is the way to go. If you have a 06 then the carb already has a #40 from the factory. The Leak Jet will cost you around $12.00 from the dealer, so it is well worth the mod. But you will need to give them the part number since they will tell you that there is no such part.

A #35 leak Jet curred the bog on my 04 WR250F. It is worth trying.

As for a bog when it's warm and not when it's cold. I would say that is jetting and not the standard low end bog problem that most riders have.

I have the leak jet. #35 works perfect, no bogging at corners and whatnot. It is by the float. I dont exactly remember because I installed mine a good year ago.

It is the jet that is in the very bottom of the float bowl itself. You would need to remove the float bowl and look into it and you will find it at the bottom. Very easy to change if you can get the 4 screws out that hold the bowl on.

Are you sure about the leak jet being a 40 in the '06? I had an '04 and thought about changing to a 35, but didn't bother cause I bought an '06 instead. But I find the same bog both bikes.
