450R carb

i need a new carb and i want to go bigger then stock. has anybody put a 450R carb on their 400ex? Does it run good, did you feel any kind of power gain. is it hard to rejet. i have a pro circuit T-4 on, whould i have to order diffrent jets???

Could you guys tell me all the stuff you had to do to assemble it and install it into your bike. and was it worth it?

yes this a gread mod for a modded ex. i heard aroudn +3 hp once tuned

my ex isnt moded very much i have a hot cam stage 2, procucuit T-4 slip on, white brothers rev box and a k and n air filter will the carb work for these mods on my 400

sure it will help you, nto as much as saw a 440ex but its a good mod to have and you can rejet as you get more mods. its all in teh tuning

i went to my local honda dealer and ordered one, but today they called me and said that the carb will not fit on my bike. is this true, is there a serten year that will only fit, i ordered a 2004 carb, does it matter? i really need to no and FAST!!!! thanks

the 450r carb doesn't fit bolt-on... but with a little of setting, it,s easy to put into the bike...

sure, with a lot of mod, the carb will work greater.. but with pipe, cam, no lid, it,s a good gegining and you will see abaout 2-3 whp....

a 416 ported do 4 whp....

you dont have to spend 300 on one. if you go yto servicehonda.com they are 160 brand new!
