is there any place i could polish inside the carb to gain any more power

correct me if im wrong, but you want some kind of "rough" surface in the intake port..this is because you want the fuel/air mixture to "tumble" around to get a proper mixture or something of that nature. Ive never heard of carb polishing, and therefore i presume that the same concept still has relevence here;)

You can remove the choke for a little crisper throttle response.

How does removing the choke give you more throttle response? How much more does it give you?

It makes the path for the airflow more smooth. It doesn't add much hp, just throttle response. Keep in mide that you don't have a choke though.

In most occations you wont need a choke if you pump the throttle enough to get the accelerator pump goin ok.

I removed the choke on my 400ex. I could notice an increase in throttle response, however, i live in nebraska and on cold days it is a little harder to start, but i think it is worth it.
