2002 300EX clutch adjustment

My clutch on my 300EX does not start to pull until the handle is almost all the way released. I don't ever remember it being like this. I've driven my friends 400EX and it starts to grab about half way between fully held and full release. I've adjusted according to the manual but it's not much better. What else can i do to fix this?

See... If you did not flip it Evil Kinevil, you wouldn't have had to replace the handle and adjust it, just trade it for a 400.... HA I'll trade ya straight up for a mint booger green recon, so you don't have to worry about a clutch, LOL

Just sounds like the cable adjustment. Try adjusting it at the clutch perch first, and make sure the cable isn't on a bind ot getting pinched somewhere. Double check the way it's routed.
