I thought black plastic was the stuff myself and got some maier plastic for my 04 (old style) EX and It was AWESOME looking until i rode it. After one ride my boots had scratched it to he!! and back and it really shows. It dont look that bad until you get up to it but it really made me mad that it shows scrathes that bad. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e339/ST87/MaierFenders002.jpg

yup thats why i try to stay away from black but it dose look good.
