how you you stop the tie rod bolt from spinning so you can fasten the nut back on?

Hold the bolt with a wrench or socket.;)

hmm tie rod bud....there is no bolt on a raptor

Hmm I could swear that said a arm bolt. Maybe someone changed it.
And judging from your sig I though you were talking about a 300ex.

do you mean the nut on the tie rod or the nut on the tie rod end ?
the tie rod should have a flat spot to put a wrench on to hold it while tightening, the tie rod end has a flat spot up near the boot to put a wrench on to keep the bolt from spinning while tightening the nut
