Everyone has aluminum, who has steel ones other than sidewinder? I need a 28t rear steel sprocket for our Kasea but noone seems to have them. Rebel gears isn't making them, and sidewinder is great but pricey. Anyone have one sittin around?

In my area Hetrick Racing would be the one to contact for anything Kasea. If they are out there, I bet the people at Hetrick know where to find them. Hetrick Racing (http://www.hetrickracing.com/index.htm)

Hetrick, who are they? lol j/k , they can only get a stock size one. Anyone here that can machine them that doesn't want my firstborn? You would think as popular as the kasea is in the mini racing world a company would've picked up the line by now. :(

In my search for a 28t rear steel sprocket it was brought to my attention that the kasea and polaris rear sprockets may be the same. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me PLEASE

Is your Kasea a three bolt pattern? I know the sprockets from my son's pred 90 also fit his DRR50 but I'm not sure if the Kasea is the same as the DRR???

yeah, I found out the pred's were 3 bolt but I may get one and just drill it.

The Eton is a 4 bolt, but is also a 520 chain.

Can I ask why you insist on steel?? We have a Kasea and Eton and neither pattern can be interchanged, Ill ask a freind who has both Polaris and Kases and see what she says ...

speaking of....

Fastbikes, you still gonna let us buy that sprocket from you??

Sorry Tina, I was just going off of the spec sheet

As far as steel vs aluminum for me. When we MX the aluminum will last maybe 3 races, where the steel I can get a full season and then some. Our season is an outdoor winter series and is almost always serious mud. Our indoor series I can race an entire season on aluminum and not have a problem. As far as a weight difference I can't really find a significant one bacause the aluminum ones are solid and the few steel ones I have are all lightened, so the only weigh 1/4 - 1/3 more than the aluminum ones.

I didn't know if the Eton and Kasea bolt patterns or axle diameter were the same, I just knew it was a 4 bolt setup. We run Polaris, 3 bolt threaded sprockets, and Kasea, 4 bolt drilled sprocket.

Sorry if I caused any confusion to anybody.

Brad hit it on the head, the aluminum ones simply don't last and the weight difference is negligible at best. I was referred to a chinese four stroke sprocket that may fit but hopefully the guy that machines them for Ron will have some soon. Sad noone makes them readily available.

Thats cool Brad, after I posted I got to thinking they very well could have changed things since we bought ours too! :o :p ;)

So why is it that they dont make more of the Steel ones then I wonder??

I have 1-32, 3-28, 1-26 tooth #428 rear steel sprockets that I have aquired through the last couple years that are a stock sprocket off of some mini quad or moped. They look exactly like the stock Polaris rear sprocket, and I can't seem to find them anywhere else... but they do exist.

If your looking for steel good luck, our engine builder broke down and is having them made. We should have them before Redbud hopefully.

I'm at the point of paying the $130 to sidewinder to have one made. It's ridiculous but no other choice. I'm tired of trying to find one.

And it looks like the holes aren't drilled symetrically but it's just every fourth hole for the bolt pattern. It's all even and lightened. We gained alot of mph going from 21-35 combo to a 20-28 combo.

I bought a stock sprocket from Brown (or US Tsubaki) with a stock bore of 3/4". I took it to my local machinist and had him machine the sprocket to the bore and mounting pattern of my original sprocket.

I got the stock bore sprocket for about $20. The Machinist labor was about $50. But I got the number of teeth that I wanted.
