This morning I washed my R. I stood it up on end, shut the gas to OFF. And finished washing my R. Once I was finished I wanted to warm up the motor to evaporate the water off the engine.

I turned the gas back on. Then I kicked it once, then kicked it twice, still did not turn over. At this point I hit the throttle on accident . Not sure if this matters. Now tried to kick it a third time and the kick start FROZE in the upright position.

I then tried again after putting all my 200 pounds on it, and it kicked over but did not start and the kick start went all the way down past the rear brake lever, it did this twice.

Now its back to its up right FROZE position as if it has a huge amount of compression.

Help what the heck happend.

Sounds bad. I don't know what could have happened other than somethin internaly.

I had the same exact thing happen to me recently with my 250r. It ended up being one of the bolts that secure the stator on, backed out, and held up flywheel. I'm not sure if that's your problem, but it's simple to check.

I would pull the spark plug and check to see if the float got stuck and it dumped all the fuel into the cylinder. About your kick start going all the way down I wouldnt worry about it if the kicker will not go down. It happens on the street bikes . Also check your oil. Sometime if the float gets stuck the fuel can pass throu your rings and go into the crank case. It would not be good if you run a mottor with fuel in the oil. It thins out the oil way to much and burns out all the bearing.

if thats not it, if have had the same problem...my kicker wouldnt move in that upright position...wheels were locked and everthing...turned out to be my crank bearings were gone and my connecting rod was like twisted and wouldnt move...very weird stuff, and expensive, i just couldnt kick it over

pull the spark plug out and then try to turn it over it could be hydro locked

It's all code four:

I backed out the 17mm bolt on bottom of carb, turned gas off first. Took out the bolt, gas of course spilled all out. What I did was slowly kick start it to mist out any small debri, did that 3, or 4 times. Put 17mm nut back on and turned gas back on. Kicked it and started right up:D

Thats all that I had to do. Did not even mess with the spark plug. It's ready to hit the trails again.

What can be learned from this? Turn the frick n gas off FIRST, then tilt it up on end:rolleyes:

Oh well, hey thanks guys for getn back to me. Sucks when you don't know whats wrong from something so simple. LoL

well if it got gas in the oil it should read high but i would still change oil and filter and check airfiter gas probably got back in the airfilter and cleaned the oil off of it
