View Full Version : Stock 04' KFX400 Before and After Results with HMF

I had a customer that wanted a pm power package on his 04' Stock KFX 400. So I wanted to post the Before and After Results for everyone.

This is a Stock 04' KFX400.
Before Mods: Bone Stock with 18" Dyno Tires

After Mods: HMF Full Exhaust, TwinAir Powerflow Kit, Dynojet Jet kit, No Airbox Lid, also 18" Dyno Tires

Jetting: I ended up with 2.5turns out on the mixture screw, needle in the 3rd from top, 155main. I am at 312ft altitude.

Hp over speed. Remember this is with 18" Dyno Tires. With the stock 20"s it will do 75-76mph

Your dyno reads 5-7hp higher then KBR's.. A stock Z400 on KBR's dyno puts out 25hp.. No two dynos are alike..

Correct, and No airbox lid.

Wow that is a nice torque increase! The stock z400's really lack there but that increase is amazing.

Wow......the difference is definately in Torque and acceleration. Not hp thats for sure. I do know that an hmf does make a NICE improvement on the Z/Kfx's. :)
