As in Mopeds? Do an Internet search on that, should be some stuff out there. Reminds me of a saying a buddy at work told me...

Mopeds are like fat chicks... Fun to ride, you just don't want your friends to see you on them!

My buddy eric built one and it didn't accelerate slow. it was fuggin fast. it was a bigger chainsaw motor tho. he put it on a mongoose hoop d bike.

its really easy to do, ive built like 5 or 6 of them.
1. find a 16 inch bike, even if ur scrunched up on them, its 10X faster and funner
2. get some flat stock metal
3. Make a bracket. measure it out so the bicycle peg just barley clears a flat tire.
4. Mount the peg onto the motor and the motor onto the bracket
5. Put the bracket on to the axle of the rear wheel and TIGHTEN it.
6. Make some sort of brace going from the seat post to the bracket for the motor to prevent it from sliding back and forth on the axle.
7. create some sort of throttle, i never used one, my hand would always be on the carb, but if u can, make one
8. fill up the rear tire with a decent amount of air, too much will bend the shaft and/or rip your tire to shreads
9. Pedal to start, sit down, and have fun.

it wont make a difference, its almost impossible to shift with a motor, itll keep throwing the chain

i have never put a chainsaw engine on a bike but i did make a 12hp go cart with a home made frame. 12hp (HONDA ENGINE)
in a 20 lbs frame =100ft burn out, wheelie, and holy chit.
i dont know how fast it was but when u steped on the gas it would do a burnout with out front brakes (on pavement.)
it is at my friends house so when i go there i will get some pics.

In the 60's before my dad was 16 he and his buddies all had Schwinn Bikes w/ 3 1/2 Tecumseh motors on, driven by wooden pullies they would make on the lathe, the motor just drove directly on the tire... They also removed the mechanical govenors... Supposedly they went about 55mph... one went 65 b/c of dual carbs and a p&p. Pretty crazy for a pedal bike...

the chain saw engine has a clutch on it for when it kicks up it pulls the clutch we are gonna make a jockey shift haha

did the same thing moto4racing did but with a weed eater engin used brake lever and cable for the throtle and it went pretty fast fun and loud beats pedling plus fun to rip around on.

all you gotta do is weld the sprocket to the output shaft of the chainsaw. Make a bracket and weld it to the bike frame and run a throttle cable to the handle bars.

It's easy if you have the tools and have any sort of welding ability
