What in your guy's opinions are the best goggles? I have msr's right now and i need knew ones. The ones I have right now have rotted through and are all scratched. I'm not looking to spend $100 on goggles either if you know what I mean. $40 or less is about all I want to spend. Also what places have you guys found to have the cheapest prices for goggles? Thanks.

I would reccomend Utopias:o , but if you can only spend $40 get the scott NoSweatXi goggles or the High Voltage III's. You can take that mask crap off the Xi's too.

Also the Spy Alloy goggles are very nice, the non-pro replicas are around $40.

The ones with rolloffs are more expensive because of the rolloffs themselves, and its a Works goggle. In other words, you can use the same lens for tearoffs and rolloffs. The canisters snap off. I would get the NO Sweat Xi over the 89, they're of higher quality.

These ones are looking the best right now. By the way thanks for your help.

Go with scott nice and comfortable with thick foam. The anti fog goggles have lines in the foam to let air in to keep them from fogging. The foam is usually harder and thinner and the goggles tend to trampoline on your face. I can't stand for a pair of goggles that trampoline against your face during a race:cuss:
Get goggles with thick foam!

i had a pair of smith warp ti's and the goggle is comfortable and all that, but in like 2months time the foam ripped and really pissed me off seeing as they were expensive at the time. i have FlyRacing goggles right now and there holding up great(they were 30 dollars, so there deffinately cheaper than most of the other brands). ima buy of pair of spy's and utopia's next and try them out.

I have a pair of oakley's and pro grip. I like my oakley's better cause they fit in my helmet a lot better than pro grip. The pro grip goggles are larger than the oakley's. Any my pro grip's are the light changing kind, I really like them for dune riding. I hate the tear off system though. I'm about to try some scott goggles cause they use a different system. everytime I go to tear off my pro grips or oakley's, i rip all mine off at once:mad: :grr:

When I bought my 250ex brand new in July 2001, damn I was excited, the dealer gave me a pair a Scott goggles when I bought my helmet and gloves. I still wear them from time to time. My main pair is Oakley and they are 2 years old now.

In all GNCC races muddy or dry I wear roll-offs. On all dry motocross tracks I wear tear-offs. At all muddy motocross races I wear roll-offs. In practice I use my junkie googles.

I use Spy's with tearoff's ( the $40 ones and put a lense with tearoff posts in them) ) mainly also ProGrip with tearoff's, I don't know what is about the spys (must be the way their vented) but for me they seem to fog less than any goggle I have ever worn. Sure is nice when you can stop somewhere for a few minutes and not have to pull your goggles down cause their all fogged up.

02-21-2006, 05:40 AM
i used to be an oakley only kinda guy...the o fromaes worked great for me, then the last pair i had didn't last all the along, so i tired the smith warps...they were uncomfortable, but do hold up fairly well( lenses scratch easier than the oakleys). then about 2 years ago, i bought a apir of pro-grip 3400 ls, the light sensitive ones, and they have the feel, durability, and comfortability of the first pair of oakleys, the durabilty of the smith warps and even thopugh i have put a lot of seat time on with them, i am still on the very first lense. i have the 2nd lense waiting to be put in, but i can still see about 95% with the original...

as far as fogging, the oakleys fogged up, the warps really fogged up, the pro-grips have not fogged on me yet...

I love my Oakleys. Haven't had any problems with them so far. They hold up well, have interchangable lenses, and the lenses don't scratch. I'd recommend them. I have the standard O-Frames now, but want to get the MX-Frames with the Polarized lens soon.

You may also want to check out Scott's upcoming ATV-specific goggle that is coming out soon. Supposed to be really good.

i prefer scott goggles :macho
