Question on A-Arms

I'm looking in getting aftermarket a arms. Whats the difference between regular travel and long travel and what is better.

Long travel a-arms have the shock mounts repositioned lower and farther out than the regular travel which have stock position mounts. The long travel arms allow for a longer stroke shock yet with a lower ride. LT has every advantage except ground clearaces in some cases. LT does cost a lot more money though.
