Can you post some pictures? I need some ideas to brain storm for the next toy I want to get.

I'm getting a 88 silvy extended cab 8ft bed, 2wd,98k on it

I was thinking a beltech 3inch

then dad would love to drop a 383 stroker in it hes been brain storming about.

also adding the new style grill on it and a lot of other ideas..

I was thinking of doing something like this, adding the dually sides but running a soild tire in the back..

or maybe something along the lines of this..

For a fullsize 2wd I'd reccomend a max of 3 inch drop. That will get you down but still high enough not to worry about most parking/driving obsticles. Sidewalk curbs and speed bumps are notorious.

Yeah thats why I havent decided on if I should just leave it where it sits hieght wize or 3 inch it.

now if the damn banshee will sell I'll be able to go pick it up :p

my fullsize was bagged and dragged body. I really miss it, quads are more fun though. Airbags are great and can be affordable if you know a good welder and can fab your own brackets. Get a truckin or minitruckin magazine and check into it.

Just drop the truck and keep those spokes...and u'll be set! :p

Then all's you'll need is a musical horn and a chain link steering wheel!

Unfortunately i have no pics but i have a bagged and bodydropped s10 im working on. As for air bags it all depends on the setup and if you install it your looking from anywhere between 1200 to say 3000. As for reliability if set up improperly they can have problems but if done right the only issues could be freezing temperatures which can cause valves to stick but can be over come with air brake antifreeze. If you have the money i would reconmend air bags cause the ride is great. Also i know air ride technologys has some bolt on kits for your truck check them out theyre may be others but im not to sure about fullsizes id check the forums mentioned.

a 3 inch drop isnt much, a 4/6 would be a good start if you want to have a static drop, (non adjustable) as for bags, they can be good and reliabe, i have a nissan ext cab body dropped, bagged and the works, it can hold air for over 3 months without leaking down. just be sure to use quality equipment and nothing from AIM.

one good thing about chevys, from the s-10 to the 1tons, you can buuy a pretty standard bolt in kit and install it your self. check out suscidedoors.com, they have some very nice kits. you can bag the truck without useing a welder if you trust blt in notches and all. all you will need to do on the front f the chevys is trim out the front where the coil springs go.

Here's my 99 s10 I just sold 2/3 belltech drop and 17" eagle alloy torque thrust style wheels. Loved this truck but I needed more room in the cab and was tired of driving a lowered truck on these ****ty roads.

How much you get for it?

when you drop a chevy, go about 2 inches lower in the rear than you do in the front, evens it out that way. i love lifted trucks, and like the look of a lowered truck but would never own one. but if you go to the snapshots and videos section of www.fullsizechevy.com and post a request for lowered trucks there, you will get countless ones. there are some great trucks on that site.
