View Full Version : Most Powerful Stock Dirtbike Ever!!

I know this is a loaded qustion that there may be different opinions on it. Just want to see what you guys think cause i don't really don't know. Which bike would have the most get up and go or torque right off the showroom floor. I have heard of some different bikes that clamed to be the most powerful ever such as Suzuki RM500,KTM 495, or Kawasaki KX 500 or whatever else.

The 06 KTM 450SX probably has more power then any of them.

no.. the most powerfull dirtbike is the ATK Intimidator 700cc 2stroke.

Maico i think made a old school 780 two stroke, but it was too much of a monster to be production...

I'm sure it's open to debate, but in the last 25 years I've ridden alot of different bikes, big and small, and I think my CR500 (or any CR500) has to be up near the top. I had a Pro-Circuit pipe on it and it was very difficult to ride, I put the stock pipe back on and it's still a handful. I don't think there's any 450 four-stroke that would touch it. There's no finesse involved in riding it, it's like a gun, just point it and pull the trigger.

I was talking to a guy about this tonight actually he was telling me about when he was younger and they built big bikes and fast bikes...I guess KTM took the 495 they had made a twin cylinder out of it maited it to a tranny and called it a 998 but it wasnt made for very long
