I decided after watching races this winter that I want to race next year. So far I plan on getting: Front/Rear Durablue Lowering Kit, Durablue Sway Bar, Cheng Shin Ice Tires ( not sure what size ), and about 1000 Kold Kutter studs (1/2"). Does this sound like a good setup? I will either be riding a 400ex or my brothers Z400, not sure which one will work better. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah I might be interested in the tires. What kind of studs did you use and how much do you want?

well, you'll need ice rears. and fast tracker fronts work for me. it'll take about 1,200 to 1,500 studs .front and rear. i recomend a sway bar but i just stiffend up my out side shock. lower it front and rear. thats about it.

Do you just put one stud in each lug or those rears or do you do two? I know that if you only use one then it should be on the front leading edge on the knob

on the rear i put one stud pre lug and two on the outside edge. the front two pre lug.

Here's my stock tires studded up . There's a few screws missing cuz I lent them out to my buddy last winter and the idiot rode on the pavement with them :grr: but the previous season I ran them strictly on ice and only lost 2 screws .

i was told to run 1" screws. they don't pull out, i ran the 1/2 inch ones and threw a lot of them

for the rear i would run true ice tires. they are a harder tire . and when you stud them have alot of air in them then stud, then let the air out to your normal psi

i ran 18x8.5X8 cheng sing in the rear and bandits up from 21x7x10... the setup seemed to work well... I would suggest using just normal shocks with preload all the way out, and a sway bar, and just go buy yourself a lowering link for the rear.

Here is a picture of my setup for a 1 hour endurance charity race Flattrack450 and I ran this year... We placed 2nd... shoulda got 1st, but screwed ourselves a little.. but hey it was for charity...
