What do you guys think of your pro pegs?? Are they worth getting over standard nerfs?? I have heard the best stuff about the AC, and is most likely what I will be getting. And on that part that runs through the frame, does it rust like DG stuff?? And how hard are they to install, Post all the info about propegs you have!!!

Pro pegs are awesome, they look better and feel better than regular nerfs. Never had a problem with the bracket rusting, and they are super easy to install.

A+ from me

AC pro-pegs kick az$. No, they dont rust, they are 100% aluminum. The welds are great and they last. The only issue with them is the aluminum notched footpegs can wear. Maybe they have SST foot pegs on them yet, I dont know. I know you can get steel pegs to fit if you wear the aluminum out.

I have AC and highly recommend them:bandit:

from the above pic, it looks like they fixed the footpeg issue.

So go buy some AC propegs.

Why do you need nerfs? Personally I hate them anywhere but an MX track.

Girls riding on back
Doing tricks on jumps
protection from other quads
protection from trees
saves your feet and ankles
looks cool
better grip for your boots

no real good reason

The aluminum of course doesnt rust, he was asking about the steel mounting bracket.

i broke my tib and fib into an L ship when not ridin with nerfs, Trust me...

Pro Pegs give you a lot more room for your feet to move around on, Only quads that dont "need" them are the new 450's they have pretty good size pegs stock.

I would suggest the AC pro-peg heel guard nerfs. I'm sure most of us have seen the picture of the guy on the black YFZ with his leg twisted 180 degrees and his ankle shattered underneath the tire.

yeah and now I guess the cool thing to do is shave the heck out of your rear fenders to allow that to happen easier. I dont get it.

up until recently I never gave a thought about pro pegs due to them having aluminum pegs, except now dg, ac, pro armor and others have ss pegs that bolt on. but I decided to go with Roll pegs and ac nerfs....the roll pegs are amazing, especially with the kick up, i highly recomend them!

just if u havent bought them yet ...i heard that if you have huge feet your boot gets cramped in the space

I have ac pro-pegs... They look good but didn't line up worth a damn... plug the part that slides over the footpeg bracket is too big... so they wiggle about 1/4'' when you move them...

Girls-I make her ride her own quad Double is a big No-No
Tricks-They make you faster?
Protection from other quads-Use the other person's nerfs:D
Protection from trees- trees to the rear tires? That's what heal guards are for.
Saves your feet and ankles- My feet get caught in the nets, that's more dangerous to me.
Looks cool- That's your opinion, I think they're ugly.
Better grip for your boots- Sharpen your pegs.

I guess there are reasons for you I was wondering why Adam feels the need for them?

The pro pegs are nice.. but if you weigh over 200 the nerfs flex alot in comparison to other nerf bars I have come in contact with... now I dont own them or ever have owned them but my friend with a banshee had them and he had to switch cause they were flexing alot.. and I tried them and felt the same thing, just a thought, maybe he bought defective ones....

mine dont flex I weigh 210. My propegs have been great, but on of the welds broke on the heel guard part. But i welded it back up and theyve been great since. Only thing I dont like is on the shifter side they are worn because I always ride with my foot below the shifter. Where can I buy the SS replacement. Do they bolt on?

they are such a big diffirence over stock heel gards and pegs. Ya I know they are on a 90 but they are still awesome. Has any body really looked at the Dana Creech pegs they are twice as wide as the regular ones :eek2:

there nice I had em' for a while. Look good and don't rust!

The only knit picks I had w/ the pro pegs for the 400ex was me being a tall **** it raised the pegs and I think moves them forward which makes the machine feel even smaller. Also a problem I had was i'd bend the **** out of the heel guards when I'd land sometimes w/ my heel still on the guard.

Personally I think a good set up is just reg ac nerfs, w/ stock pegs, sept get a hold of another set of stock pegs and weld or bolt the pegs together so so they are like fat pegs. Its cheap and it works.

Yeah, Thanks guys, Heels gaurds are a must for me, accept I dont really like the look of the ac HEEL GAURDs but oh well...Id rather feel safe than not have heel gaurds at all.

I love my AC pro pegs but I didnt like the heel guards so I sold them(to Punk'd) and ordered the ones without heel gaurds and long peg. I broke my leg twice from my foot going infront of the peg and twisted under it so i have to have nets on mine. and when your racing through the woods you dont have to worry bout your rear tires hittin trees.

Has any of you guys doing freestyle had trouble with using the propegs W/O heelgaurds?

ShiftFMX

Ok, Ive decided definatly to go with the AC propegs WITH heelgaurds, expensive, and hopefully worth it!

I have the dg propegs, you cant beat them for the price...HOWEVER they do not come with the heelguard so they technically are no as safe, but i love mine. They fit up a lot better than the ac's did on my 300ex and they are very sturdy and well built.

The only thing I dont like about Propegs is the heel gaurd, I can't lean my feet back. I like to stock heel gaurd it has some depth so I can lean back. I know some guy that got a new Banshee and ran over his leg and broke it. I have had two close calls and I ride in lots of mud and water so nerfs and heal gaurds are a must have.

I would take my Pro Pegs over anything
