yfz 450 shocks on a 400ex

im geting 06 yfz shocks will they fit like the 450r shocks
i ride trails and sum times mx ???

I have no personal experience so take this for what its worth but i have read on this site that yfz shocks fit but dont work well i think it was that they are stiff or something. if i were you i would get 450r shocks, i used to have some on my 400 and they were way better then stock it was a night and day difference. now i have axis and they were a night and day difference over the 450r shocks.

they will work but you will loose abotu an inch of ground clearance

They won't bolt up. They'll have to have the top eye machined or grinded skinier.

when i got my 400 ex it had a yfz 450 whole rear end on it. it is made by hinson racing it feels fine to me. i havent had any problems except for ground clearance.
