I have heard nothing bad about the power or sound of them.

Being "better" is only an interpretation. Each have their strengths.

i have the x-6 on my 400. I took the white bros off and put this one on and man what a difference. Sparks is most def. the best IMO....

sparks is real popular on 4-strokes with motor work, it must respond well to it

Well I always loved my sparks exhaust. I thought it sounded bad***, plus it added great power. I have never heard anything bad about them. Other than old farts complaining that they are too loud......

They make good power, but you might want to reinforce the lower mount before it breaks.

sound wise, they do sound good, but my hmf is just pure music to my ears:cool:

when ever i upgrade to a 450 if i do, i will most likely go with another hmf myself..........possibly a sparks though

Straight from the HMF Engineering Website
$460.95 Honda 400EX Full Sport Series
$560.95 Honda 400ex Full Balance Edition

Straight from the Curtis Sparks Racing Website
$489.00 Honda 400ex x-6 Race Series

$29 difference between the cheap'o HMF Sport full and the full race X-6, and the x-6 is $71 cheaper than the Balance version.

I don't see a huge disparity. ;)

Now if you're comparing the slip on to the full system.. no contest. Apples to Oranges, anyway.

Since you ride a 300ex, as do I, the Sparks X-4 300ex pipe is $349, and the HMF Sport Full is $450.95.

Yup that's right the Sparks X-4 is $101.95 CHEAPER than the HMF Sport Full.

I wish people would stop assuming the Sparks Pipe costs more than other full systems, because it doesn't.

I absolutley LOVE my Sparks X-6 exhaust. Been using it for 5 years (I've ridden FMF, DG, WB-E, and HMF), and I would never go to another pipe on the 300ex. The only pipe I've seen outperform the Sparks on the 300ex is the TC.

I had a white brothers Pro-meg system that i destroyed in a wreck so i upgraded to a sparks about 6 months ago and i love the sparks, it sounds way better but i really didnt notice a power difference between the two full systems.
