Friend burned in explosion.

My friend was severly burned the other day and I reviced this from his mom.


Mike was hurt severely in an explosion at our home on Feb 16 and burned on 40 % of his body. He is in the burn unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital and will be undergoing surgery friday morning. His condition is severely critical to grave condition If he pulls through he will be in the hospital for the next 6-8 weeks. Please keep him in your prayers he needs everyONE TO SAY A PRAYER FOR HIM TO RECOVER. This is from his mom and I will be hard to reach but if you leave him any notes I will read them to him as soon as I can.

He is a pretty cool friend and hes all into the cars and quad scene. He had a pretty tricked out shee also. Please keep him in your prayers.

i know how he feels! he needs to be tough, focus on recovery, take it one day at a time. needs to concentrate and think positive, its going to be hard sometimes, make sure you visit as often as you can, he will need the support. i wish him well.

Shouldnt you be prayin for him:D But man, that sucks..When you can find out what happened exactly.

My grandfather got burned real bad once, he said it was like the worst pain you can feel. Hope he gets better soon.

Got some more news on him from his mom....


Mike is doing better today but he is still in alot of pain.He had 5 hours of surgery done to graft skin back on his arms and one hand.Please we know that it would mean alot to him if you could send him a email or post something to him so we can print it off and read it to him to let him know that all his friends ar thinking about him.We will keep everyone post on how things are going with him.thank you.

He was working on the gas tank for his Monte Carlo and it blew up and he was a ball of fire. Burned on 40% of his body and will be in the burn unit many weeks.

Its sad, he would always talk about the Monte Carlo in school.

Some updates...:ermm:

From his mom.
Well everyone things arn't going so good right now.Mike had all his dressings changed today witch is called a totle strip down.He now has clear bandegeson his face so now that is a plus.He now has pnuemonia with a collapesed right lung and 1/4 capacity to that lungand nowin his left lung which he still has 3/4 capasity.He now has 2 ventilators,one for each lung.When they run a scope down to his lungs they found 2 burn blisters which they popped and flushed .They are keeping him in a comatose like state to try to keep him from pain.He needs to be this way for his eyes and his lungs to heal.Besides that they tested him and he is not breathing on his own anymore so the ventilators are his life support.In other words he is in really bad shape and this is not joke at all.So please get the word out and everyone please pray for him and keep your fingers crossed.

man that sounds way worse than what you first posted, usualy when someone say 40% burned it isnt that serious, he is in my prayers.

That sounds horrible, I will keep him in my prayers. Burns are by far the worst pain someone can experience.
