TRX 400/600 hybrid

Hello peeps, I have tha chance of picking up a 400ex with a shot motor, I was thinking this could be a good base for a hybrid project, as the 400ex motor is basically the same as the xr400 motor, do you think the xr600 motor would be a good choice? has anyone fitted one of these motors before?

there was a guy that did an XR650 motor in one before. jsut search for 650ex and look at what he did and how he did it.

dirtwheels mag did something like that back in 1998, when they wanted to upgrade the 300ex, they used a custom laegers frame and fitted an xr600 engine in it, so im not sure if it would fit in your frame or not, i beleive theres an article about in their november 2005 issue. After they put the engine in they used mostly 300ex parts for the rest of it so i think you'd be fine that way, but dont quote me on it...btw sounds like an awsome hybrid, hope it all comes together
