I just ordered a set of trail-tech lights with the speedo adapter. The lights I ordered came with two 35watt halogen lights. Will my stock stator have enough output to run both my stock lights and the trail-tech ones?

no, they light up better than the stock one because one light is a wide flood light and the other is more than a spot lot, these things are real bright, i can see them hit trees and stuff in the middle of the day

Hey Muff,

I have the trail-tech speedometer for my 400. It is worth the money. It gives you average spped, top sped, distance traveld, ride time time times , service and maintinace times, it also has a clock and ideglo function thats lights up for 5 sec at night. I'm sure it has more, but i forget. Easy to install also.

do you have to buy a mounting kit or does it come with one that goes on the handlebars?

Muff,

It comes with the mounting kit for the handlebars and another mount if you want to mount it flat on your plastic.

But I would check walmart first, I have read where a few people have said that walmart carries them, and they are only like 30 bucks.

I love mine, I mainly bought it because of the clock, and the speedometer which works good. It is easy to read if your going fast, just as long as you have time to look down at it. You don't want to crash just to check to see how fast you were going.

thanks for your guys help, i'm gonna get it sometime this week, sounds like it'll be worth the $70, i could go to walmart and look at them but i'd rather buy something that i know works good and is made for a quad

Walmart does carry them, but they are the bicycle version. The magnetic pickup sensor is different. It will work through. I have one from walmart on my blaster. I'm going to get the ATV version for my EX though.
