new chain?????

i wanna change my 05 stock gearing from 14/39 to 15/38....question is do I need to buy a new chain???the bike is less than a year old??can i just or 2 sprockets from RM and be done??

ya im positive you dont need a new chain you should inspect your chain though and see if it is damaged because it would be handy to put a new chain on while your takin your sprokets off ne ways.

what about if i only dropped the rear down to a 38 so I wouldnt lose all of my low end bite?

I would not recommend putting a 15 on the front, you are going to have crap for bottom end. The only thing I have ever changed on mine is lowered the front sprocket 1 tooth and im running a 13:1 je high compression piston with a 426 bore port and polish, I could go back up to a 14t but for woods racing I love the bottom end it has when the throttle is hit.
