My dealer gave me a Honda Oil Filter for my 400ex.It seen to be the right but I found out that on www.servicehonda.com,the 400ex oil filter doesn't have the same part number then mine.

Service honda : 15412-HM5-A10

Mine : 15410-Kf0-315

This is the right one?!?

are you sure they gave you the right one? they might of mistaken it with another 400, they almost did with me one time. But i would take the old one out and see if it is the same size, etc.

yours is probably not a genuine honda part. what brand oil filter is it? is it fram or k&n or emgo or something like that?

it's a Honda this is written on it.

I will go do my oil change in fews minutes ... I will check ;)

just changed mine a few days ago, just dug the wrapper out of the garbage. mine is a genuin honda part, and part number is 15412-hm5-a10

I will call my dealer tommorow.I jetted my bike and I will do my oil change tommorow.

I have the same two oil filters. I think I have the latter # you gave for my 350X I sold and the first # you gave for my 400EX.

I did some looking around and there's some models, mostly motorcycles, that had either # listed. One site had one # and another had the other #.

Like you I know less now than before. Comparing the 2, they look identical but there could be significant changes not visible .to the eye, however, I doubt it.

I don't know what to tell you though.

I have found on the internet that the filter I have,is for a 350X.

Does someone know if the have a difference between the 350X and 400ex oil filter??

Ok I have called my dealer and he said that for a 400ex I have the right oil filter.This is because the Service Honda Number is the american one and for the canada,this is the 15410-Kf0-315.

I will change it later in the day!

I have changed it, this is the same size and diameter and fit perfect!!!
