NO that's not all it's got!
Needing a gearing change tells me exactly how little porting was done. No mention of clutch work either.
Porting should have raised the rpm's to 11k+. This will depend on the pipe used, a stock pipe will rev 10k+.
Stock gearing should be used with sand tires and a modded motor.

Porting can only do so much if you don't have the other aspects to go with it. The engine might make its best power at 11k, but if the clutch only allows the engine to operate up to 9k, you're not getting full performance from your porting.

For more information, read the tech articles on CVT clutch tuning (http://www.off-road.com/atv/kidskorner/clutching1.html)

thank you guys for your replies, Mr lt 80, it was before the
injection system failed and i replaced the piston that "I"
did some clutch mods, really the only thing i did was remove
some weight of the front clutch shoes ,EQUAL GRAMS OF COURSE.
however, at that time i replaced the rollers also,(stock).
I just would like some info that could gain some top
speed for her, hard to keep up with 400's & 450's,
THANKS AGIAN,,,
