plugs ?

ok i want a colder plug and im going with a dp9ea but what do you guys think the best plug would be denso iridium, ngk ? ive always used ngk but that was in two stroke dirtbikes. thanks mouse

What heat range does everyone else run on their plugs: 7,8, or 9?

What plug does everyone run and where do you buy them?? I usually get my NGK plugs at Oreily's, but they said they do not carry the stock plug. This is going in a modded EX. Also, what gap do you run?

In my 400 I run an NGK DPR8Z, which is what basically everyone I know runs in their 400s. The standard spark plug gap is 0.024"-0.028" and I split the difference and run 0.026" I know it's getting really picky and most people won't be able to tell the difference, but you can get a bit more low-end if set the gap at the tight end of the standard recommendations or a bit more top-end if you run a bit larger gap.

Is that the stock plug? Can you get it at an Auto parts store. I am sure the Honda dealer wants $5 for that plug!

an auto part store ussually doesn't carry that plug, but most will order it for you. Just go order a bunch of em, should be alot cheaper than $5

i would use ngk. thats all ive used and my friend uses them in his street bike. my stock plug was a ngk anways an if i recall it was a 7 maybe. it says in the owners manual 8 is for highspeed riding (colder plug) i would try the 8 1st then if u dont like it go wit the 9. dealin wit engines i would go one step at a time.
