Hey guys, I have a 2001 440EX, and was wondering could I redo the 440. The reason is, is that it just dosent feel like its all there i dont really know how to explain it but its just not as strong as other 440s ive ridden. I was looking at the sparks national kit but i already have the cam and pipe, clutch ect. I know id havbe to get a new sleve and all or would I? ANyways sorry for the long post.

i would get a new sleeve just to make sure you are making a good seal and, getting maximum compression.

Not that I know alot about it but my 450r intake valves weren't seating properly. Maybe you just need head work and you can save some dough.

Have you put it on a dyno and checked a/f under load? If not, do it before reinvesting.

Also did you do any topend work, or just bore it out and put in a new cam?

port and polish,, i totaly forgot about that. The guy i bought it from said he didnt get the chance to do it yet so I will most likely do that. I cant think of anybody that might do it around hereso I will probably sendf it to one of the sight sponsers or CT.

-Thanks,
Mike
