Theres a guy on this site that makes scoops buy the name of Tinner. his scoops do not mount to the fender brackets like the omf. they are quality scoops and I think they go for around $45
I havnt seen him on here in awhile though. do a search for GCD air scoops or Tinners scoops. definately worth a look.

Do any of the scoops make it harder to change the plug when it goes?

Here is a picture of the omf scoops on my bike,I like how they fit,look and i think that they definitely help with keeping the engine cool.They do not hinder the ability to access the spark plug,it is hard enough to remove and install without more things in the way!

omf scoops...none come any farther bcak than the fenders so the plug is just as accessible...

thanks for saying that christine there for directing more air into the motor for better cooling but mainly for looks and sponsor stickers really.
