How often should you replace an Oil filter on a 250ex, can you just clean them? anyone with info on this please help

they dont have oil filters....I dont beleive..

nope, no filters. but they have a screen in there that you need to clean according to the maintenance schedule in the manual.

is that the rectangular small peice of foam like, its about 3inches long and and inch wide? in ur airbox?

no its not in your air box i dont know what that foam thing does in your air box... the oil screan thing should be in the crank case but im not sure. i dont think you really need to clean or change it that much 250exs are made to be low mantaince. but it couldnt hurt to claen every once in a while.

what foam thing in the airbox? I dont recall any foam things in my airbox except the stock filter. where is this?

I know the Recon has a small foam element in the airbox, it's a dust cover, but I'm not sure about the other 250.

The foam element in your airbox is the crankcase breather element. The oil screen is located on the bottom part of the engine where the cases split in front. Not an easy access item to clean or change. The book suggests once a year but I decided it aint worth the trouble.

no no no, there is a little compartment, where there is a small greyish rectangluar peice of foam. and i just clean it when i clean my airfilter, it has its own special place, to the back left of the airfilter

It's your crank case breather filter/dust cover
